I need to find out where a certain number came from and who called me! the area code is (714) Please help me? i have tried to look it up on the web but you have to pay different sites just to find out! NEED help PLEASE!How can i get a california number checked out?

If you are trying to look for where that person lives (not specific details, but like big ones like what city, state, country, etc, then use these keywords on yahoo search "trace addresses of phone calls". I used those keywords, and found some good sites that let you know some info for free (*note: SOME). Well best of luck.How can i get a california number checked out?
One sure way is to contact the phone company, they have a database of phone numbers and the matching addresses, but then you have to find out who lives, there, and that's a lot harder. Anyway, I don't think the phone company is allowed to tell anyone but the police.

there is an option for area codes and zip codes... type it in and it will tell you what area the area code is from. You could also try and reverse search the phone # to get a persons name and address if its published
