i have a penpal who says she lives in Massachusetts and yet her cell number area code is 845 and i looked it up and the location of that number is Carmel, New York. Is it possible to live in a different state and have a completely different area code number like my friend?Cell number and location?
Yes that is possible. It could be that her family used to live in Carmel, NY. Or Carmel, NY may be very close to where your friend lives. I know a guy who lives near San Antonio and wanted to get a cell phone with an area code from Denver (which he received).
