I recently got the number of a guy from school, and his area code is strange. We live in California and I looked it up and the code belongs to Georgia. He says he did it because its his birthday, and says he no connection to that state. In fact whenever I mention he changes the subject instantly. Though he assured it has no meaning but his birthday. Is he hiding something from me?Is he hiding something or am I just overreacting!!!!?!?

As far as I know, you can't pick your area code...it sounds like he got the phone in Georgia and maybe doesn't want you to know for whatever reason, or maybe he stole it? Who knows.Is he hiding something or am I just overreacting!!!!?!?
