Parking violation code I will be contesting does not seem to exist, suggestions?

I recived a parking ticket (was not in front of the officer when I got it, was paused loading %26amp; unloading at night for an art event in an area full of bars/drunks [I was by myself %26amp; am a chick] %26amp; moved the car right away after disscovering the ticket when I returned to finish unloading before any tow truck showed up) I have decided to contest it %26amp; the date is about a week away... Anyway I looked up the citation code %26amp; docket number from my ticket %26amp; court summons on both my cities municipal %26amp; my state legislature and it was not only specifically absent under both but the city code lists a completely different citaion code for what the ticket is for. Not only that but pictures show the worn/dust covered curb "paint job", lack of a visible sign (not to mention trees every witch way), %26amp; 25ft + distance from a handicapped loading curb ramp on the public sidewalk. I wrote this all out explaining %26amp; I plan to plead "guilty w/explaation" because technically the curb did have remnants of blue paint upon close inspection in daylight but it's faded/chipped/%26amp; covered in dust common in the SW area this time of year %26amp; certainly not visible in the crappily lit area at night (the pics are from during the day just to show how bad it is in decent lighting let alone poor lighting). My question is, is there anything elnse I can/should do or consider?Parking violation code I will be contesting does not seem to exist, suggestions?
go in there and explain to the judge what you wrote here, the fact that it was at night did not help anything, let the judge decide, you made some good points, and its likely to get reduced or dismissed in its intirety. Present your main points if it was a dark spot late at night and difficult to see, no handicapped guy in the world could use it at night ( Im in a wheelchair. dark parking handicapped spots are impossible to see. good luckParking violation code I will be contesting does not seem to exist, suggestions?
If you plead guilty with an explanation, you are admitting guilt and not contesting it. To contest your citation, you need to plead not guilty. A trial will then be set and you can plead your case to a judge. Best to go take pictures of the area....lighting, curb, etc. The more pics the better. Also take them at night so the judge can see visibility.Parking violation code I will be contesting does not seem to exist, suggestions?
Did you check the County codes too? If the Officer quoted a specific regulation number or citation code and you're sure it does not exist, then you can plead Not Guilty of the offense you were cited for, but you'd better have the most current regulations on hand to back up your claim.

Cops are not perfect people and they do make mistakes. Of course, if you ask for a court hearing and the Officer doesn't show up to testify, the court will dismiss the case.
