How do we get these calls to stop?

In the last 3 days, we have received about 15 calls from what appears to be numbers in our area code. When we look them up, we can find the city but no further information.



If we answer, there's nothing on the other line.



If we don't answer, there's no message left on the machine.



If we call back, we get a "this number as been disconnected" message.



Where do we go from here to get the calls to stop? Could they be a poor political campaign?How do we get these calls to stop?

it's a computer automated dial up service setup to deliver a pre-recorded message when you answer,

the machine is not properly being activated when you answer. If you have caller ID don't answer and in a few days your number will be removed from the computer dial up database.



Don't call back, this will reactivate your number in it's caller database.
