Weird area code on caller id?

I got a call today and the area code on my caller id was 166. I looked the full # up on google, but nothing came back. The last 4 digits looks familiar to a collection agency that calls, but not with the 166. Does anyone know what this is?Weird area code on caller id?
There is no area code or phone number that starts with 1 in North America. The dialing rule is NXX-NXX-XXXX where N is a digit between 2 and 9 and X is any digit.

The Caller ID is spoofed, which means that it has been altered to make the call appear as though it is coming from somewhere it is not. Telephone companies and many trusted businesses have the ability to spoof their outbound Caller ID number.

Many of these businesses allow other people to abuse their 'spoofing rights' for a fee. In other words, they allow prank callers to pay a fee so that they can call in and use their business line and spoof the number to say whatever they want.

Some telemarketers use spoofing to avoid call backs as do some collection agencies. In many places, the act of spoofing is considered illegal if either the spoofed number is not real or if it is not owned by you.Weird area code on caller id?
